Tulsa Slip and Fall Injury Center
Tulsa, Oklahoma Personal Injury Lawyers

All too often we are faced with situations beyond our control while on someone else's property.  If you have been injured in a slip-and-fall accident on another's property, you may be able to recover for your injuries.

In Oklahoma the owner or occupant of a property has a duty to those who come onto the property for any reason, whether by invitation (Invitee), permission (Licensee), or even, to a certain extent, those who are there un-invited (trespassers).  Of course the law imposes a different duty for each type of visitor to the property.

The duty that an owner or occupant of a property has to someone who they have expressly or impliedly invited to their premises is to "use ordinary care to keep the premises in a reasonably safe condition for the use of his/her/its invitees".  Oklahoma Jury Instruction Chapter 11 § 11.10.  Someone who is injured on the property of another must have been expressly or impliedly invited for some commercial or business purpose for this duty to apply.

The duty that an owner or occupant of a property has to someone who is on the premises by express or implied permission is to not injure them by a willful or wanton act or fail to warn them of a known hidden danger. Oklahoma Jury Instruction Chapter 11 § 11.13.

One of the Personal Injury Attorneys at Kania Law Office can help you decide whether you have an actionable claim for personal injury
