Workers' Compensation cases handled in Oklahoma are divided between two
courts, the Oklahoma City Workers' Compensation Court and the
Tulsa
Workers' Compensation Court. Unlike most other areas of law, the
determination of which court a case will be handled in is not a
jurisdictional issue, but rather an issue of the preference of the
parties involved. In addition to the two courts, under the
Workers' Compensation Reform enacted in 2005, the parties may agree to
hold hearings by videoconference at other locations; however, this is
rarely done.
