Crime:
In
Oklahoma, it is unlawful to knowingly transport an open container of
alcohol in any vehicle unless the container is transported in the trunk,
rear compartment or any other outside compartment of the vehicle which
is not accessible to the driver while the vehicle is in motion.
Punishment:
Knowing
transportation of an open container of alcohol is a misdemeanor and is
punishable by up to six (6) months in county jail and/or a fine of up to
$500.

Knowingly transport in any vehicle upon a public highway, street or
alley any alcoholic beverage except in the original container which
shall not have been opened and the seal upon which shall not have been
broken and from which the original cap or cork shall not have been
removed, unless the opened container be in the rear trunk or rear
compartment, which shall include the spare tire compartment in a vehicle
commonly known as a station wagon and panel truck, or any outside
compartment which is not accessible to the driver or any other person in
the vehicle while it is in motion;

Penalty for Violations
A. Any person who shall violate any provision of this title for which no
specific penalty is prescribed shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and be
fined not more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), or imprisoned in the
county jail for not more than six (6) months, or both such fine and
imprisonment.
