Cash in Oklahoma Chapter 7 Bankruptcy 

Is cash a protected under the bankruptcy?
Cash itself is usually not exempt. However, most of your current wages or earnings are protected to an extent. Therefore money in your pocket or in an account may be mostly exempt to the extent that it is covered by the wage/earnings exemption. Also ask your attorney about the possibility of what is called a "wild-card" exemption which some states have which will protect misc. property up to a certain dollar amount.  Oklahoma does not have a wildcard exemption.
