Chapter
7 Bankruptcy Attorney
What
is a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy?
A
Chapter 7 Bankruptcy discharges most if not all of your debts without
having to make monthly payments. It takes approximately 90 days from the
time your Chapter 7 petition is filed to the time of discharge. If,
after expenses, there is no money left over to pay creditors like your
credit cards each month, you may be a candidate for Chapter 7. If you've
filed a Chapter 7 in the past, you must wait eight years from the date
of filing of the earlier Chapter 7 to file again. In filing a Chapter 7
Bankruptcy you are also required to pass what is called the "Means
Test".
